Fairway “Ready for Sale”

We just got word from Apple that Fairway is “Ready for Sale” in the iTunes AppStore. While it’s not in the store yet (we’ve checked a few times) I imagine it will be there in short order. We’ll update the site with information and links when it’s up.

For other developers who’re interested in turnaround time submitting to the AppStore, our application took from 8/24 until 8/31 to be reviewed … so pretty much 7 days on the nose. We’ve heard 10 days from other sources online. So that’s either a factor of the application complexity, the timing of the submission, submissions are decreasing, or Apple is fine tuning their process to handle the load.

We’re excited that folks will be able to see the fruits of our labor shortly.

New Website Design Released

After being in an iPhone coding hibernation for several months now I’ve finally released a new version of the WideAsleep website. While I’ve had it for a while now it’s been sitting on the back-burner so I could focus my time on finishing Fairway which is now in the AppStore queue.

I’d like to thank Fernando Lins for his help on not only the WideAsleep branding and website but also with all of the awesome graphics in Fairway. If your in need of an amazing graphics designer I can highly recommend his work.

Our first iPhone application, Fairway

After being in development since the first iPhone beta we’ve released our first iPhone application named Fairway. It’s essentially a virtual caddie for your iPhone or iPod Touch. No, it doesn’t have a scorecard … instead it helps you manage your clubs and swings. Whether your at the range or on the course it helps you to make an educated club selection and improve your game through analysis instead of random range ball sessions.

It’s currently sitting in the AppStore queue awaiting review by Apple. I’ll post more as soon as it’s available. Also, if you know anyone who is willing to do some localization work in exchange for a free copy of the application them drop me a line.
