Are you an avid golfer? Maybe you are someone who plans their club selection based on course and weather? Are you learning golf and want to improve your game? Do you find yourself at the range spending hours aimlessly hitting balls and then when you’re on the course you don’t remember which club you hit what distance? Are you constantly tweaking your swing or trying new shot shaping techniques? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Fairway is for you.
Fairway lets you enter all of your golf clubs and their specifications into one location and then manage your different swings and conditions under which you use them. You can then easily group clubs into bags and then use the application on the course to aid in club selection.
Imagine you’re 123 yards from the pin, in the rough, hitting into the wind ... if you use Fairway to track your information we can help you identify your ideal swing for that situation. We aren’t a scorecard application ... instead Fairway’s mission is to help you manage everything about your clubs and swing. It empowers you to evolve your swing and make educated measurable improvements to your game.
How It Works
The first time you open Fairway it asks you if you’d like to use the application with sample data. This is real golf club and swing data (Sean’s in fact) that will give you a feeling for how the application will behave with a full set of information about you and your game. You can always add or remove these sample clubs at a later point in time so don’t worry about changing or not adding them right away.
After you’ve experienced the application with sample club and swing data you should begin to enter your own information. Like a real caddie, Fairway can’t tell you how far you hit your clubs without you first telling it about your clubs and swings. We have plans for future predictive swing logic but at this time we don’t offer these features. What this means is that you will have to spend a little bit of time up front entering this information. We have tried to streamline the entering of this information by offering some simple golf club brand and model data but it’s not complete information. We’ll be working over time to enrich and streamline this experience.
Once you have entered all of your club and swing information you can now group your clubs into bags depending on your usage. You can have as many bags of clubs as you want and clubs can be in many bags. Do you have a tournament bag, different clubs for different courses, or clubs you practice with ... not a problem. Arrange them however you want and they’re at your fingertips immediately. Never forget what clubs to use in various conditions again.
Finally ready to play? The power to improve your game is now at your fingertips. Select the bag your playing with and whenever you need a swing recommendation on the course check out Fairway. Dial in your conditions and distance and quickly see your recommended clubs. Touch a row to see club details and any notes you may have made about this club.
